Welcome to Sustainable Saint John’s Fall Speaker Series! Join us this month with speakers Eddie Oldfield and Samir Yammine as they discuss the implementation of the City of Saint John’s Community Energy Plan!
This presentation will include a high-level overview of Saint John’s Community Energy Plan (CEP), and the results of QUEST’s Getting to Implementation Workshop for the City of Saint John. This includes recommendations for governance structure, communications & stakeholder engagement, data collection and monitoring KPIs, and a roadmap to implement measures of the CEP. Since 1998, Eddie Oldfield has coordinated initiatives focused on local sustainability, GHG emissions reduction, climate adaptation, and resilience planning. Eddie is Senior Lead, Projects, and Advisory Services, QUEST. In this role, he helps deliver regional and national projects to advance Smart Energy Communities and supports FCM Partners for Climate Protection members in Atlantic Canada.
Samir Yammine, P.Eng, is the Manager of Asset and Energy Management for the City of Saint John, NB. His responsibilities include providing strategic leadership and direction to the Senior Leadership Team and Common Council in developing and implementing the Corporate Asset and Energy Management Programs across the City of Saint John organization, including the City’s Agencies, Boards, and Commissions.
