SSJ Fall Speaker Series: Solar Impact on Housing and Energy

September 20, 2023 12:00 pm

We want to welcome everyone back for our September 2023 Speaker Series! We are starting off strong this fall with a guest from Kaleidoscope Social Impact to discuss the direct impact solar installations can have on housing, particularly social developments.

Back in 2018, Kaleidoscope Social Impact installed a 17.7 kW solar array on the roof of their building. Over the last 5 years they have been collecting data from the array to help educate themselves on the inclusion of energy in housing developments.

Financial and Project Analyst for Kaleidoscope, Guillermo Marroquin will be joining us to share insights on housing and energy through their experience with solar power.

Speaker Bio:

Guillermo is originally from Quito, Ecuador, and has lived with his family in NB since 2017. In his home country, he worked in consulting, starting as an analyst and progressing to becoming a project development specialist primarily on infrastructure projects. Before moving to Canada, he worked on the implementation of affordable housing projects. Guillermo saw an opportunity to continue his career in real estate and signed up with Kaleidoscope Social Impact. He is committed to continuous learning and passionate about infrastructure projects and sustainable development. Guillermo has an MBA from UNB SJ and a Master’s in Energy and Environment from the University of Calgary.

Please join us on September 20th to learn more about their experience with solar and how it may be applicable to your own facility!
